Need a Palate Cleanser after Congratulating our Democrat Overlords?

I laughed till I cried, then couldn’t seeem to stop crying.
Once again, Iowahawk rocks!
Yes, I know there are probably other African-Americans much better qualified and prepared for the presidency. Much, much better qualified. Hundreds, easily, if not thousands, and without any troubling ties to radical lunatics and Chicago mobsters. Gary Coleman comes to mind.
Not to mention Lynn Swann, Michael Steele, or J. C. Watts.

OK, sorry for the Palin remark but seriously the definition of “qualified” should not be soley based on ideology. If you seriously believe that Messrs. Swann et al are “Much, much better qualified” that POTUS elect Obama, we simply disagree

Nor should it be based on how well a man runs a political campaign, Mr. Obama’s primary accomplishment to date. We’re going to disagree on this one, Larry.
I’d take almost any conservative over Mr. Obama for a number of reasons, some being selfish. I have a son I want to put through college, and I’d like to retire in ten or fifteen years. Mr. Obama’s party has eyes on my 401K (not what it once was, but I’m optimistic its value will return if the government lets it) and has declared the industry in which I’ve worked for thirty years practically an enemy of the state.
I believe the government takes too much already, and tries to do too much with it. And, what it tries to do, it tends to do inefficiently. I prefer a president to have some private sector experience, but that’s not a deal-killer as we seem to find few candidates for the presidency that are anything but career politicians.
I’m willing to give Mr. Obama the benefit of the doubt, but I’ll admit some of his rhetoric scares me. I’m hoping I’m overreacting. I just don’t know if, right now, I have a lot of wealth to share.
Finally, it bothers me that neither he nor many of his supporters seem to be able to take a joke. (Other than Biden, of course.) I’ve prayed for every President we’ve ever had, and I’ve mocked them, too. I promise equal treatment for Mr. Obama.
